Shock absorbers are mainly used to suppress the oscillation when the spring rebounds after absorbing vibration and the impact from the road surface. When passing over an uneven road surface, although the shock-absorbing spring can filter out the vibration of the road surface, the spring itself still has reciprocating motion, and the shock absorber is used to suppress this spring jumping. So, how should the daily inspection of car shock absorbers be carried out? Did you know? If you still don't quite understand, now hurry up and learn together with the car shock absorber manufacturer.

Once the shock absorber malfunctions, when the vehicle passes over a slightly uneven road and vibrates up and down, the suspension system will make a "click, click" sound, and the more uneven the road is, the louder the sound will be. At this point, it might be that the shock absorber is damaged or the rubber sleeve of the shock absorber is broken. Under normal circumstances, shock absorbers will generate heat when working. If they do not generate heat, it indicates that the shock absorbers are leaking oil. It was obvious that the shock absorber was leaking oil that day. It must have been damaged. At the very least, the oil seal was broken. Then it is necessary to consider replacing the shock absorbers.
Shock absorbers can also be inspected by yourself. The common methods are as follows:
1. Drive the car for 10 kilometers on a road with poor conditions and then stop. Touch the outer shell of the shock absorber with your hand. If it is not hot enough, it indicates that there is no resistance inside the shock absorber and it is not working. At this point, an appropriate amount of lubricating oil can be added and the test can be conducted again. If the casing gets hot, it indicates that the shock absorber is short of oil inside and should be filled with sufficient oil. Otherwise, it indicates that the shock absorber has failed.
2. Press the bumper hard and then release it. If the car jumps 2 to 3 times, it indicates that the shock absorber is working well.
3. When a car is moving slowly and brakes suddenly, if the car vibrates severely, it indicates that there is a problem with the shock absorber.
4. Remove the shock absorber and stand it upright. Clamp the lower connecting ring in a vise. Pull and press the shock absorber rod several times with force. At this point, there should be a stable resistance. The resistance when pulling upwards should be greater than that when pressing downwards. If the resistance is unstable or there is no resistance at all, it may be that the shock absorber is short of oil inside or the valve parts are damaged. Repair or replacement of parts should be carried out.
